Getting Started

Suggestions on how to get started with Equinox

In this segment of the Equinox User Documentation we list a few suggestions of how to get started using Equinox. The platform offers rich functionality that can be combined in various ways. What is relevant and optimal will vary for different users and their use context.

The equinox platform may be useful to portfolio managers in the financial industry, energy intensive sectors or local government (portfolio managers, business analysts, data engineers and/or risk model developers) - practically anywhere people must manage a large collection (portfolio) of data that touch on both sustainability and finance requirements.

Once you have access to a working instance of Equinox you will be greeted by a page that looks something like this:

Composable and Modular Functionality

The Equinox platform comprises various general purpose components (modules) that can be combined in specific contexts. Currently, development targets the following use cases:

  • Corporate Scope 2 Emissions accounting and reporting
  • Green Public Procurement
  • CIRIS Emissions accounting and reporting
  • PCAF Emissions accounting and reporting
  • Standardized credit risk score according to EBA Specialized Lending criteria for Project Finance
  • Equator Principles Reporting

You can read more about each one of these use cases in the collection of Equinox Workflows.

A high level overview of the platform objectives and capabilities is available in the functionality overview.

QUOTE: Equinox is still in active development. The functionality of the platform will be significantly enhanced in future versions. If you have specific requests / ideas please raise them in our GitHub repository.
